I am away this week and It’s a holiday weekend in the US so I am doing a wrap up of our last four weeks (recapped below). We have been in a Muscle Medicine series and I hope something in you has shifted — or opened.

And I really can’t go on without commenting on the president’s most recent bill yesterday in the US of what I think may be one of the worst things to hit health care in this country (and there have been a lot of bad things lately!) No, this is not a political newsletter but politics are human and they impact our health. And when a bill like this impacts millions of Americans’ access to health care (most of whom are underserved to begin with), then it’s worth mentioning. I don’t think our health journey happens in a vacuum. The systems, as broken as they are, that we live in matter. So I would never suggest it’s ‘easy’ to improve your health when systems are in the way. But I do think it is even MORE important to know that the power you have to improve your health is vital. You deserve to have the most information and power in this possible. And I will be here with you.
Now, back to the matter at hand which is all about power and strength, our Muscle Medicine series. I hope you’ve seen that strength is available at every age and every size.
And mostly, I hope you remember:
You don’t need permission to be powerful in your own body.
You just need to practice it. In any small way to start.
You don’t have to overhaul your identity or your schedule. Just try a small practice from our series.
If you’ve ever felt like this whole muscle conversation wasn’t for you — too late, too intense, too “fitness culture” — You are not behind. You are part of this story too.
And your body, right now, is worthy of care and capacity-building.
You can let this be the beginning of a new story.
