Spring (house) cleaning!
Always feels like a fresh start...
Hello everyone! I am so sorry I was remiss in sending my usual Friday article last week. Full transparency, I traveled an unusual amount in February including a Make-A-Wish trip which I have a lot to say about and a ton of exhausting (but good) work. And then my plan was to write to you on the plane ride home Saturday but by then, the violence and attack had been started in the Middle East and honestly, I needed some time to process and also restore.
Yes, It’s a hard world out there. And you’ve got all of your own things happening. So that’s why it’s SO important for us to commit to any small ways we can to thrive in our bodies and hearts. So that we can manage ALL of it (btw, managing all of it includes shutting down as well!)
So I’m back and it’s March and quite honestly, Spring feels more like a new start to me than Jan 1st. Especially since I’ve been waiting for this week to catch up at home and work and reground after being in the air too much. Now I feel like I can refocus and let’s start with some housekeeping here!
Just knowing what to expect can give our brain what it needs, certainty! That is a little gift of nervous system regulation for you today 😊
Here’s what to expect as we go forward for everyone:
✍🏼 Weekly Friday articles as usual translating the science of health into practical, doable steps for your real life. The usual formula of Real science + my (unfiltered) wisdom as a clinician for 25+ years. Cutting through the noise to get to clarity.
And for paid subscribers:
✍🏼 Evidence Drops the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month where I translate the science of a recent study into an actionable tip. Basically, I read the research so you don’t have to!
✍🏼 Weekly Thursday access to me in the chat threads on Substack from 9-2 pm PST so you can ask questions about articles or health related info. THIS IS NEW! I am trying to help you get more access to me in real time. Note that you will need to get the Substack app to access this chat.
✍🏼 Quarterly deep dive workshops into a topic on top of mind. This is also new. I am condensing our virtual workshops into one deeper one each quarter and giving you weekly access to me in the chat threads. The first one will start next quarter, date coming soon! And recordings always sent out!
