Math was my worst subject also and it was never explained to me like this! I just wrote a very similar post about the Universal Law of Surrender. We don't need to be overwhelmed by our suffering and can choose to surrender simply because we want to feel better as we go through our day.
That being said not all suffering is equal of course and I am so sorry about your son❤
I agree with you and thank you for your kind words. It really is quite horrible to watch your child die. I won't lie. And at the same time, I would say all pain is not equal but suffering of the heart tends to resonate among all humans the same way. I am grateful that my son's life has taught me so very much, not the least of which is that this life is a teacher and perfect in its own way.
Thank you for this. I've been having a hard week with the limitations of my children's needs and disabilities. As you say we wish things were different for our kids but radical acceptance and changing the expectations is better for our hearts!
Reminds me of a conversation I had with my cousin the other day. Both of us have been through some hardships, the type that any human being on earth would have experienced at least once in their life, but both of us were in denial. Denial is not just a river in Egypt (sorry I had to). Denial is a hell of a disease. And it was acceptance that brought us back to our reality. Through acceptance, we were able to face our reality. Thank you for this reminder :)
